Debborah Jensens Biography:

Healing is my mission in life. Helping people and animals around me feel better through touch has been the center of all my life's journey.  At 17 I started as a Nurses Aide in a local nursing home, at 21 years of age, I  Went to Shapiro School of Nursing and graduated in 1978 as an LPN, and worked in various nursing homes for 25 years.

What turned me on to the power of touch was, people that recieved nightly massages, on hands, feet, and back, usually slept better, and required less pain, and sleep meds.  Unfortunately, due to nursing shortages in nursing homes, nurses were encouraged to give patients pills, since time was not available for massages.  Burned out and discouraged with nursing, a new road presented itself.  I went back to school.  Alternative Healing Massage School in Rochester, Michigan. After graduating in 2001, I started my own massage practice.

Clients needs are king , hence my motto, “I Listen I Care.”  I have spent the last seven years building my clientele, and expanding my knowledge, specializing in Swedish, deep tissue, shiatsu, sports massage, and Reiki, and Reflexology.

I am a Nationally Certified Massage Therapist, and became a Reiki master in 2007 with hopes of teaching Reiki by the end of next year along with offering Reiki shares to help those in need. Reiki Shares are when a few Reiki Masters band together to offer free Reiki treatments to those in need. It's to help the community become aware of the healing power of Reiki, and helps those who can't afford it.

I don't have to hurt people to get the muscles to relax.  Just last week  a woman told me she had never had a deep tissue massage that wasn't painful and yet still worked, until she came to me, and I know it was because of the Reiki. All my massages have Reiki in them.  Reiki eases tight muscles, and lets me work deeper without hurting my clients.

Many say that they sleep better, have fewer headaches, manage fibromyalgia, and back, neck and shoulder pain better because they have a regular massage.

I have massaged people from newborns to 99 years of age in nursing homes, and have seen that because of massage/Reiki, they felt less pain and had more energy, as well as slept better.

Many Atheletes have found that sports massage before or after their events, have helped them reach their goals.  After massaging a swim team at the local YMCA, and they said their swim times were better.

Massage is my passion, it helps me with my mission, of helping others stay healthy, and happy.
